800 Hand-wired Custom 50 Red Chalk

Now available - upgrade from the standard insert loop to our new zero-loss buffered loop.

This cabinet has no tolex. Instead, we've painted our birch plywood cabinet with Morocco Red chalk paint, and waxed it. It's similar to old wooden furniture. It's imperfect and will certainly get banged up if you gig it. Let us know if you want to add corner protectors at no charge. 

Choose Silver or Black control panel. Choose a classic 800, our silver jube tribute, or our own hot-rodded Scarlet voice. 

Hand-wired faithful replica of the classic JCM800. 3x 12AX7 preamp and 2x EL34 power tubes. 50 watts. Effects loop.

What sets this amp apart from other 800 clones available is it fits in our standard 20 watt amp cabinet. So you have your choice from a variety of cabinet coverings or the oversized cabinet And the size matches our speaker cabinets.

Available mods:

Front panel switch:

• Saturation switch - this is a two-position switch adding diode clipping for more gain and compression. +$69
• Fat switch - this is a two-position switch which adds girth to the preamp +$39

Rear panel footswitch and rotary control:

• Lead boost - uses the footswitch jack and rear-mounted rotary control to set the level of boost. +$99. You can also add a footswitch for another $29.

or

• Depth mod - added to the negative feedback circuit, this is a rear-mounted rotary control which adds bottom end. +$49. No footswitch option with the depth control.

Capacitors:

The stock caps we use are good quality and most players should be satisfied. But for those with a little more discerning taste we are offering two levels of upgrade to eight of the caps.

SoZo Yellow Mustard caps are are successful recreations of the originals and are superbly built and excellent-sounding caps.

Jupiter Yellow Vintage Tone Capacitors Aluminum Foil Mylar 1960's Style Build. These are modeled after the Yellow Astron caps used in the 50’s and 60’s. Made in the USA of US-made materials.

Any additional mods, done by anyone other than Jet City Custom, will VOID the warranty.

Warranty is 2 years, parts and labor and does NOT include tubes.
